Overview

Inspired by First Australians' approach to agriculture, the Happ family has been crafting the iSeries wines since 2012.

Just as an aboriginal painting is intrinsically tied to a defined landscape, these wines are natural expressions of the ancient land from which they're shaped. In order to preserve this link, the iSeries range is made with 100% hand harvested fruit and minimal handling in the winery. We seek the clearest translation of vineyard to wine; each vintage speaks of the earth, soil and sky that contributed to its annual offering. The flavours & aromas that are created by the vines are vibrant and genuine.

The Taste

Merlot is a red wine grape variety known for its soft tannins and juicy character. Compared to Cabernet Sauvignon, its bolder cousin, Merlot offers a more approachable style. Beloved for its flavors of dark plum, blackberry, and hints of spice, Merlot is a versatile food wine that pairs well with red meat, pasta dishes, and even grilled vegetables.

AROMA: Displays attractive characters of red currant, cranberry, purple jubes and tomato leaf with subtle eucalypt, camphor and floral notes.

PALATE: This wine displays intense sweet fruit with flavours of raspberry, green cherry, and plum skin with hints of choc mint, capsicum and black berry. The palate is soft and chalky with good persistence and we think perfect for day to day drinking.
