In 1987, Erl Happ pioneered the production of sulphite-free wine in the South West. Since then, we've perfected our process to create enjoyable and drinkable wines that our customers have come to love.

We understand that wine lovers with allergies often miss out on their favourite drink due to preservatives like sulphur dioxide. That's why we've employed careful techniques to create wholesome wines without any sulphites.

Our preservative-free red wine is an excellent example of this philosophy. When you taste it, you'll be greeted with a lifted floral aroma that displays both black and blue fruits, with hints of liquorice, choc mint, plum, graphite, and spice. It is a medium-full-bodied wine with velvety tannins and a long, mouth-watering finish.

Our preservative-free wines are aged in the bottle just as well as wines containing preservatives, with a minimum of five years of expected aging potential.

To protect the wine from the oxidative effects typically encountered during bottling, we use state-of-the-art filler and screw capper.

Our process ensures that the wine's quality and character are preserved, with the rest of the details remaining a secret.

AROMA: Lifted floral aroma that displays both black and blue fruits, with hints of liquorice, choc mint, plum, graphite and spice.  

PALATE: A medium-full bodied wine with good structure and flavours of dark cherry, black currant, coffee and ripe raspberries with hints of cola, rum and raison, dark chocolate and dried herbs. The tannins are quite velvety and the finish is long and mouth-watering.

VARIETIES: Merlot (34%), Shiraz (14%), Grenache (13%) Cabernet (23%) and others.

ANALYSIS: Alc/Vol: 14.1%, Titratable Acidity: 6.2 g/l, pH: 3.67, Residual Sugar: < 0.5 g/l.
