We have the only self-guided outdoor cellar door experience where you can taste more than 40 different wines from sweeter style table wines through to classic full-bodied reds and fortified wines.

Bookings are only required for groups of 8 or more.

$15 Per Person Includes:

When you purchase 3 bottles or spend $60 your tasting fee will be deducted from your purchase (per person)

At Happs we know wine can be confusing, so we’ve made it our mission to cut through all the muddle and tell it straight. You’ll get the chance to choose from more than 40 hand-crafted quality succulent red and mouth-watering white wines made by talented winemakers who care.

As much as our vibrant surroundings will make you feel at home, our cellar door staff will add to this experience. They’re friendly, passionate about wine, know their stuff and will take the time to explain our wide range of handcrafted wines to you.

The happs experience

Commonage Pottery

Commonage Pottery is a working pottery studio, art gallery and workshop space within Happs’ wines. You will often find resident potters at work, or teaching workshops for both pottery initiates and dedicated students.

Take a wander through the gallery where you’ll discover a showcase of beautiful creations including paintings, sculptures and stunning jewellery all handcrafted by local artists.

Ceramic styles vary from Raku to stoneware, crystalline glazes, woodfired, and high-fired reduction glazes. The pottery classes are fun and are great to enjoy with your friends after a wine tasting.

Enjoy your favourite bottle of Happs with a delicious gourmet picnic hamper. Build-your-own hamper with delicious decadent foods from local suppliers and enjoy with a glass of your favourite Happs in stunning, relaxing surrounds.

No need to book in advance. Grab what you want and we’ll supply you with a picnic basket, rug and serving board. Choose a beautiful spot outside, or if it’s raining, choose a comfortable spot inside.

We don't have a full menu, but we do offer cheese platters and other light snacks to complement your wine tasting experience. You can choose from a wide-range of local produce and make your own picnic right here at Happs surrounded by our stunning gardens.

Stunning setting and friendly staff. Delicious wines in a self serve tasting style. Go at your own pace and enjoy the gorgeous gardens; grown by the owners themselves over many decades. Games for the kids to use and lots of green shady spaces to explore. Even ordered some pottery to be made in my own style. Highly recommend coming here - we will certainly be back!
