Erl Happ, coined "The Merlot Man", discovered the potential to cultivate and craft high-quality Merlot early on. Our Three Hills Merlot reflects this potential and has garnered a devoted following nationwide.
The Taste
AROMA: Plummy and complex, this wine displays fleshy red fruit, dark chocolate and herbal notes. The wine responds well to some air to reveal ripe mulberry and black forest characters.
PALATE: This is a medium to full bodied wine with great fruit depth. The wine displays an abundance of dark fruit, black jube characters with hints of mint. Soft and fine tannins provide backbone but remain in balance with varietal characters.
