Whether you’re a total beginner or just starting your creative journey, this class offers a supportive environment to explore the magic of drawing and painting ocean animals.
With a resource-rich setup and step-by-step guidance, you’ll gain practical drawing techniques and build an understanding of form, colour flow, and perspective—resulting in a finished artwork you’ll be proud to take home.
In this workshop, you will
- Learn the basics of drawing with a focus on ocean creatures—shape, proportion, and composition.
- Experiment with colour mixing and the fluidity of paint to bring your drawings to life.
- Understand how to capture movement, mood, and texture using both dry and wet mediums.
- Build confidence in your artistic expression while working in a warm, encouraging space.
- Complete a finished painting guided by Annie’s personalised support and visual resources.

“My work is a heartfelt response to the environment around me. I'm continually drawn to the natural world—oceans, forests, landscapes, and plants. I work in layers and marks to reflect interconnectedness, inspired by natural patterns, Indigenous marks, collage, and stitch. My intent is to evoke beauty and connection through mixed media.”
