


Cute Animals in Clay – Build Your Own Barnyard Creatures

Let your child step into the world of clay and creativity by sculpting their own adorable farm animals! In this hands-on workshop, children will learn how to build 3D animal figures using stoneware clay — from fluffy sheep and wise barn owls to curious porcupines, chickens, or even a cow spotted on the way to the studio.

This workshop not only teaches the basics of ceramics but encourages young artists to observe the world around them, translating what they see into fun, expressive clay forms. Whether your child wants to sculpt a sheep with extra-curly wool or give their porcupine a crown, there’s room for endless creativity.
Firing Option:
Children can take their animals home on the day in their raw (unfired) state or leave them with us to be professionally fired and hardened in the kiln. Please allow 1 week for drying and firing. Finished pieces can be collected from Commonage Pottery or posted to your home (postage fee applies).
This workshop is perfect for beginners and curious makers who love animals, storytelling, and getting their hands a little muddy. All materials provided — just bring your imagination!
