Sue Jones started potting in 1981 when a friend said she was doing a pottery course through TAFE in Busselton which was being held at the Busselton Pottery Group at the Old Butter Factory.
She was instantly attracted to it as she had always loved art at school and became a member of the pottery club and started a four-year diploma in art and design and also a diploma in studio ceramics in Bunbury.
She loves to make functional ware and loves wood and salt firing as well.
She enjoys experimenting with different clay and glazes. She loves the relationship with Happs as it means she stays connected with potters from different parts of the world and is constantly learning and being inspired.
