
Japneet Keith is a potter and trainer with nature being at the heart of her pottery designs. She studied Industrial Design at the National Institute of Design in Ahmedabad, India in 2005.
She set up her studio, called Redmug in 2008, in India and a studio locally in Dunsborough. Japneet’s passion for nature is showcased in her artwork with pieces featuring hummingbirds and seashells. And she also loves creating pieces using the unique geometric lines of 15th-century Iznik pottery.
She worked as a resident artist during one of her initial visits to Commonage Pottery in 2015.
From there on she continued to work for six months every year till 2018. She officially joined the team permanently in 2018.
Japneet has showcased her creative pottery pieces both nationally and internationally. A natural teacher she has extensive experience teaching in Australia and internationally and today teaches enthusiastic potters the skills of the trade through workshop experiences at Commonage Pottery.
