Encaustic Wax Workshop

Cost: $150 per person (includes your finished artwork)

This workshop is suitable for beginners and those more experienced with encaustic wax. We will be focussing on one of the following in this workshop (each participant can choose).
(a) Encaustic Blues (using a palette of stunning blue waxes)
(b) Ochres (using a palette of unique crushed ochres in wax)
(c) Collage (using paper, fabric, and found objects embedded in encaustic wax)

Produce a finished 20x20cm painting to show off encaustic techniques and textures.

In this workshop, you will:

• Discover the endless possibilities of combining mixed media with encaustic wax painting. Experiment with materials like metallic foils, paper collage, and more to create captivating textures and luminous surfaces.
• Unlock the potential of solf pastels and shellac on wax as you delve into the world of color and expression. Learn how to integrate these mediums into your artwork, adding depth and dimension.
• Gain valuable skills, regardless of your experience level. This welcoming environment is perfect for both novices and seasoned artists.
• Work on a guided or individual project, culminating in a stunning 20x20cm encaustic painting that reflects your unique style.
