These classes are perfect for beginners and complete novices. If you have never worked with clay before please feel very welcome to come and experience the fun and satisfaction of creating something functional with your hands. 

Learn how to pinch and coil 1-2 mugs or a small bud vase with nature texture impressions, and some fun pops of colour. You will be guided through this slow and mindful process step by step, starting with a ball of clay, and gradually adding some height with coils of clay. 

Workshop includes:

  • A glass of Happs' wine (or non-alcoholic beverage)
  • All materials
  • Demonstration and instruction
  • Your professionally fired and finished artwork

About Danica Wichtermann:

Danica Wichtermann is a Perth ceramic artist who runs, Rediscover Ceramics. Her work is inspired by the unique Australian bush, the textures of the land and impressions from flowers and seed pods. She loves passing on her passion and love of nature and clay.

Danica studied visual arts and art teaching at Curtin University, has been teaching and practicing art for over 15 years, and has been operating her own studio - Rediscover Ceramics since 2006. She is represented in public and private collections in Australia and internationally.

Who:

Suitable for those aged 14 and above.  No experience necessary.  Bookings available for groups of 1 to 5 people.
