As part of the Cabin Fever Festival we are offering this awesome afternoon exploring alternative styles made from familiar varieties.
Discover how different styles of wine are created under the expertise of Happs winemaker, Mark Warren and two other industry experts. See your favourite classic varieties in a whole new light as regional hero varieties are used to make something a bit different. You’ll get a fun education into unconventional wine making techniques, like appassimento, Pet Nat, preservative free and clay egg fermentation.
Guests receive a sparkling wine on arrival, plus three flights of wine to taste and grazing boards made from some amazing local produce.

Grazing and Glazing
Set in the working pottery you’ll be taken on a journey that is gentle, flowing & invigorating to the senses. Inspired by the local foliage, our potters have put together a collection for a sensorial experience featuring deep greens, autumn-inspired glazes, and forms imitating nature's perfection. Bountiful grazing platters featuring local gourmet produce will be served on these beautiful pieces. Enjoy a demonstration, then harness your inner artist and personalise your own ceramic cheese board to take home*. Savour the bounty of our own earth, with a selection of Happs wine in as pace where nature and artistic endeavors meet.

Encaustic Art-Introductory Workshop
Encaustic painting, also known as hot wax painting, involves using heated beeswax to which coloured pigments are added. The liquid or paste is then applied to a surface. Create your artwork by applying hot wax, introducing collage, developing transparency, incising, & finishing techniques. Local artist Colin is passionate about his artwork and is a wonderful teacher.

Encaustic Art-Special Effects
Encaustic painting, also known as hot wax painting, involves using heated beeswax to which coloured pigments are added. Focusing on on fine tuning your finishing techniques and special effects this workshop is suited to both novices and experienced artists.

Newby Blues A Cappella
Hailing from the University of Western Australia, The Newby Blues combine perfect harmony with their unique brand of humour. Since their formation at St Georges College in 2012, this all-male a cappella group have performed at a variety of concerts and charity events from TED Talks to Telethon and even toured over east and in Singapore. With their voices warmed, suits pressed and bow ties donned, this group serves up a memorable musical experience with a hearty dose of Aussie larrikinism. It's an a cappella experience you won't forget!
Doors open at 5:30pm for a 6:15pm start. Picnic hampers featuring a range of local gourmet produce available for purchase.
Bring a low chair or a rug and a reusable wine glass.
