This workshop on Encaustic Wax Painting with Shellac is happening every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday between September 8-22. Led by the talented Colin Pratt, this workshop delves into this ancient technique, offering a unique opportunity to create stunning artwork.

In this workshop, you will:

• Learn the fundamentals of Encaustic Wax painting using beeswax and ochre/pigments.
• Master essential techniques like layering, scraping, and incising to unleash your creativity on the canvas.
• Explore the art of creating intriguing patterns on wax using both wet and dry shellac burns, adding depth and character to your artwork.
• Gain valuable skills regardless of your experience level. This workshop is perfect for both beginners and seasoned artists.
• Work on an individual or guided project, culminating in a beautiful, ready-to-hang 20x20cm encaustic painting.

 Workshop includes:

• All materials
• A professional and encouraging instructor
• A glass of Happs wine (or non-alcoholic option)
• Your finished artwork

Who: No experience necessary. Suitable for groups of 1 to 8 people.
