Pinot Noir is a demanding grape variety. Its flavours degrade when temperatures rise above 30C and it is not as stable during the winemaking process. In mainland Australia it ripens in January or February, the warmest months of the year. There is a tiny part of Victoria and Western Australia and a good part of Tasmania and New Zealand where success is achievable.

We think that the southern extreme of the Margaret River wine region produces a distinctive and attractive Pinot Noir.

At our Three Hills vineyard in Karridale we are fortunate to experience cooler temperatures which enable retainment of fragile aromatics and flavours. Why not try our Afternoon Light Pinot Noir and see for yourself.

AROMA:  Ripe strawberry, cranberry and cherry with hints of toasty oak, stalk, cola and truffle.

PALATE: A light to medium-bodied wine with attractive sweet fruit. It has silky, soft tannins which make it very appealing in its youth, however it also displays a depth of flavour and persistence that makes us confident it will cellar beautifully.

ANALYSIS: Alc/Vol:13.2%, Titratable Acidity:6.2g/L, pH: 3.72, Residual Sugar: 0.1 g/L.
